Romantic evening in San Rocco – Camogli

Perched on Camogli’s hills, overlooking the sea, a timeless, small charming town rises.
We are talking about San Rocco in Camogli: an evocative town rich of history and is the perfect framework for the breathtaking sunsets and relaxation.

San Rocco can offer you the peace and the shadow casted by the olive trees in summer. You certainly will appreciate the sounds of nature and the sheltered panoramic spots where you can sit in the sunlight.

All year round you can start many itineraries following the trails of Monte di Portofino (Portofino Park) and explore the incredible landscapes and views unique in their beauty.

Its privileged position offers a magnificent view on Camogli and Genoa, especially when the sun sets and colours everything in pastel nuances, like in a painting.

THE TOWN

The town is situated on the hills south Camogli. The centre has been mainly developed along the only arterial road and near Santa Maria della Salute church, right where the trails start.

San Rocco is not only a perfect starting point for trekking.
Its position and the amazing views make it the ideal location for pleasant and romantic evenings.
It is impossible not to feel that beauty!

If you happen to be in San Rocco you can not just miss the famous bar “Dai Muagetti”, nestled in the rock dug by the locals in order to survive the World War II.

In 1967 this shelter became a bar with stunning views, where the sea, the silence, the nature and the colours of the sunset are the main ingredients of your evening, besides a tasty aperitif.

HOW TO GET THERE

It is very easy to get there from our hotel: in a 5 min drive from our parking place you will reach the main little square in San Rocco, going through via Aurelia with final destination Ruta. (You can easily follow directions from there).

500m before entering the town you will find a parking (on payment at weekends). In town only residents can park.

In case you arrive from the highway you should take the exit to Recco or Rapallo.
